Mary Gadach Celebrates 25 Years at The Bank of Elk River

Mary Gadach is celebrating a significant milestone—25 years with The Bank of Elk River.

Mary's career began at a local hardware store in Elk River after she graduated high school, followed by a position at Old Republic Title, where she ultimately supervised the Junior Loan Department. During that time, she developed relationships with bankers at The Bank of Elk River. In 2000, Mary joined the bank as a Consumer Processor.

Over the years, Mary advanced to the role of Commercial Processor, mastering the complexities of business banking. She later became the supervisor managing both Consumer and Commercial Processors. After a significant life change, she transitioned to her current role as a Commercial Administrative Assistant, dedicating the next 21 years to serving business customers.

Reflecting on her early days, Mary recalls, "When I first started, we wore uniforms provided by the bank, complete with matching blazers." Currently, she supports Becky Moritz, the Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending, in managing one of the bank's largest portfolios. "We assist customers in various sectors, including commercial and residential real estate, manufacturing, trucking, agriculture, and machining," Mary explained.

Throughout her 25-year tenure, Mary has witnessed the bank's growth while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service. "As we expanded, our departments grew, allowing us to focus on specific responsibilities and enhance our service," she noted.

With technological advancements, Mary takes pride in offering customers in-person meetings as well as the option to close loans online. "Working through COVID taught us a lot about finding new ways to serve our customers. We closed loans on the hoods of cars—wherever we could—to ensure our customers got what they needed," she shared.

Mary also expressed her gratitude for working with the Babcock family and The Bank of Elk River, highlighting the unwavering support she received throughout her career. She looks forward to continuing her journey with The Bank of Elk River, contributing her expertise and dedication.

Nate Ovall, Chief Credit Officer, praised Mary's steadfast commitment: "She has an exceptional ability to solve problems and manage a high volume of work, setting a high standard for the team."

Becky Moritz added, "Mary’s dedication and 'can-do' attitude have been instrumental to our success over the past 25 years. I appreciate her tremendously!"

Please join us in congratulating Mary on her 25 years of success.
