The Bank of Elk River is proud to announce that Neil Gagnon, Commercial Lender, has been awarded the esteemed Paul Harris Fellow Award by the Elk River Rotary Club. This distinguished recognition celebrates Gagnon’s exceptional dedication to community service and his unwavering support of the community. This award, one of the highest honors Rotary can bestow on an individual, acknowledges significant contributions and embodies the Rotary ideal of "Service Above Self".
“Neil’s kindness, leadership, and heart are not only seen—they’re deeply felt. Rotary is better because of Neil,” said Nicole Wojcik, Elk River Rotary Club member. “Thank you, Neil, for being exactly who you are—and for giving so generously of yourself to make this world, and our community, a better place.”
The Paul Harris Award is named after Paul P. Harris, who founded Rotary in Chicago in 1905. It stands as a beacon of recognition within the global Rotary community, celebrating outstanding individuals who exemplify the organization’s ideals of service, leadership, and humanitarianism.
“Being part of something bigger than myself and feeling connected is important to me,” shared Gagnon. “I’m grateful to this club for entrusting me with the role of treasurer and am proud of our impact, despite being a small group of busy professionals.”
The Paul Harris Fellow recognition is denoted by a certificate and a pin. Recipients of the award are recognized as advocates for the organization’s goals of world peace and international understanding.
