System Upgrade

Online banking debit card

The Bank of Elk River is conducting a scheduled system upgrade this weekend. This will intermittently impact our customers from 4:00PM Saturday, September 23 - Sunday, September 24. The following services will be intermittently impacted:

  • Online Banking
  • Mobile Banking
  • Mobile App
  • InfoLine
  • ATMs
  • Any bank telephone numbers except 763-441-1000
  • Authorizations with debit card purchases may be impacted as well**

We will be providing updates throughout the weekend on our website at www.thebankofelkriver.com as well as on the bank's Twitter account, @TheBankofER.

Why will The Bank of Elk River's systems be down?

Our systems will be intermittently down as we are doing a planned conversion from one communications company to another and will be connecting to a fiber network. What this means is that we will be able to provide better service, stability, and connectivity in the future.

What if my ATM is down when I need to withdraw cash?

If The Bank of Elk River ATM is not working, you can visit any MoneyPass ATM at another bank and withdraw cash without incurring a fee. There are several MoneyPass ATMs in Elk River, Otsego, and Zimmerman. To find the closest one to you, visit the MoneyPass ATM Locator.

Please note: If you visit an ATM during one of our intermittent times, your card will have a limit of $300 or Friday evening's end-of-day balance, whichever value is smaller, to withdraw.

Will I be locked out and need to reset my password since I won't be able to get into Online Banking or the Mobile App?

During this scheduled system maintenance, there will be intermittent downtime. Please wait 15-30 minutes and try to access the system again as we are going through a system upgrade. If you cannot get in and the system is up and working, please contact our Call Center M-F from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.

**Will my Bank of Elk River debit card work during this time?

Yes, your Bank of Elk River debit card will work during this time. If it is during one of our intermittent times, your card will have a limit of $500 or Friday evening's end-of-day balance, whichever value is smaller. Our hope is that you will not be impacted by this, but please plan accordingly for any large purchases.

Will bill pay and auto drafts be impacted?

No, bill pay and auto drafts will not be impacted and will continue as scheduled.

Who can I talk to if I have additional questions?

Please call our Customer Service Department at 763.241.8522. Representatives are available M-F from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.

We would like to thank you for your patience as we work hard to enhance your overall banking experience. With this upgrade, we will be able to provide better service, stability and connectivity in the future. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience these updates may cause.
