What’s New in Digital Accessibility?

The Bank of Elk River desires to provide a positive experience for all of our customers and aims to promote accessibility and inclusion. Our goal is to enable our customers to successfully gather information and transact business through our website. We are devoting resources to further enhance the accessibility of our website by leveraging a specialized third-party technology to provide useful tools to assist in accessibility needs.

By clicking on the yellow wheelchair icon in the lower right corner of the website, you can utilize an interface that allows persons with specific disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design. Unlike the older methods of providing all users with the same accessibility design, this interface allows for a much more customized approach to fit an individual’s specific needs.

The Bank of Elk River works toward meeting and exceeding accessibility standards as defined by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and substantially conforms with Level A and Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.0 of the World Wide Web Consortium - Web Accessibility Initiative (W3C WAI). The Bank of Elk River chose to use WCAG for conformance because they are determined by the W3C, the consortium that makes the guidelines for the Internet, worldwide.

The Bank of Elk River obtains PDF documents from external sources, many of which are not accessible. Our community-focused bank is committed to serving ALL of our customers to the best of our ability. Should any document create difficulties or if you have difficulty using or accessing any other element of this website or on any Bank of Elk River mobile app or tool, please call us at 763.241.8522 or email us at [email protected] and we will work with you to provide the information, item, or transaction you seek through a communication method that is accessible for you. (for example, through telephone support).
