Sue Engholm Celebrates 30 Years at The Bank of Elk River

Sue Engholm, Senior Consumer Lender, AVP, celebrated 30 years of working at The Bank of Elk River earlier this month.

In the summer of 1988, Sue and her husband transitioned from Duluth to Ramsey, MN for her husband’s career. Shortly after the move, Sue interviewed with Cheryl Dehmer and Pat Dwyer, both of whom are still employed/involved with the bank today. She began working at the bank on August 1st as a Drive-Up Teller and Bookkeeper in the Main Street Office.

Since then, she has held many other positions including New Accounts Representative, Assistant Branch Manager, Personal Banker, Loan Officer, and has landed in her role today as a Senior Consumer Lender, AVP, focusing primarily on mortgage lending.

“Sue is a wealth of knowledge. She is a great resource for our customers as well as our employees,” said Corey Wemple, Director of Consumer and Real Estate Lending. “Her dedication to her job and The Bank of Elk River is something we can all look up to.”

Sue’s experience in various departments has given her the opportunity to grow and develop throughout her time at the bank and she looks back on those experiences fondly. “I’ve had the privilege of working in different offices and departments over the years,” said Sue. “Doing so has given me the opportunity to grow professionally as well as develop quality relationships with many of my coworkers.”
