Bank President recognizes staff with over 20 years of service

John Babcock, President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of The Bank of Elk River, has created a new level of recognition for those employees who have achieved over 20 years of service at the Minnesota-based financial institution, called ‘The President’s Circle’.

We are fortunate to have so many employees who have dedicated years of hard work to this institution,” said Babcock. “Our employees have always been the driving force behind our company’s success, and I am sincerely appreciative of their efforts to continually better our business and stay true to the bank’s mission of providing excellent customer service. When you think about it, the number of those who have professionally contributed to The Bank of Elk River for over 20 years is truly extraordinary and deserving of this recognition. It is my pleasure to honor these individuals as the inaugural inductees into The Bank of Elk River President’s Circle.”

Earlier this year, fifteen employees were honored at a gathering celebrating their professional accomplishments. Most of those employees reached their 20-year mark several years ago, but were honored to be inducted into the President’s Circle.

“It’s very humbling,” said Gloria Morrissette, Executive Assistant at The Bank of Elk River. “When you’ve been at a company for over 20 years, you spend a lot of your life there. You truly become like family with your coworkers and you see the company’s highs and lows. Being recognized for that is something really special.”

Moving forward, Babcock will annually induct those celebrating their 20th year into the President’s Circle.

“It is my hope this inspires other employees and potential applicants to celebrate long and fruitful careers here,” Babcock noted. “I am extremely grateful and appreciative for every employee. It would be an honor to induct all of our employees into the President’s Circle.”
