Business Highlight: Guardian Angels

Guardian Angels Senior Services offers an array of housing and care options for those entering their next stage of life. Though some might look forward to this time with trepidation, rest assured, Guardian Angels has housing and medical options to fit each person's unique needs.

Guardian Angels, founded in 1962, opened their first building in 1965 called the Elk River Nursing Home. Over the years, they expanded to 12 facilities in Albertville, Becker, Elk River, Otsego, and Zimmerman. Their services are well-known and highly regarded across the state. Today, Guardian Angels features daily activities, great food, caring staff, updated facilities, special events, fitness activities, transportation options, and more.

In cooperation with Catholic Charities, Guardian Angels also prepares 4,000 meals a month for home-bound residents in the surrounding communities. Local volunteers and organizations, including a team from The Bank of Elk River, take turns delivering these meals.

We are proud to support local organizations as a community bank and look forward to attending the Guardian Angels Spring Gala on March 12, 2022, at Bunker Hills Golf Club Event Center. The proceeds raised will upgrade the Guardian Oaks Senior Dining kitchen equipment and grow their meal program safely and efficiently.

We want to give a special shout-out to Dan Dixon, longtime President and C.E.O. of Guardian Angels, on his "Spirit of Advocacy" award from LeadingAge MN Institute. Thank you, Dan, for all you have done for our community and its residents.
