The Bank of Elk River Donates $800 to CAER Food Shelf

The Bank of Elk River is pleased to announce it has donated $800 and 117 pounds of food to Community Aid Elk River (CAER) Food Shelf this past month. The bank, along with their employees and customers, worked together during the week of March 18-23 to collect funds and non-perishable foods at their five locations.

Julia Schreifels, Assistant Vice President, and Galen Cadle, CAER Board Director and Bank Vice President, presented the donation to Heather Kliewer, Executive Director of CAER and her team on March 25, 2019.

“I get great satisfaction from helping people in need and having everyone partner together to meet the needs of our local communities,” said Cadle.

The Bank of Elk River volunteers monthly at CAER Food Shelf as well as donates throughout the year to the organization. Additionally, they provide teams during the summer months to help put together ‘Kidz Kitz,' which are meal kits for youth who normally receive Free and Reduced meals during the school year and do not during the summer months.

The Bank of Elk River proudly serves the needs of individuals and businesses in Anoka, Elk River, Otsego, Zimmerman and the surrounding communities.
