Teller II Position - Full Time at Main Street Office

The Bank of Elk River has a great career opportunity to join our Main Street Office team as a full time Teller II.

Position Hours:

This position would be scheduled approx. 38 hours per week Monday thru Friday 8-5pm with a rotating Saturday schedule.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to current and potential customers. Accurately processes financial transactions and maintains cash accuracy in cash drawer. Cross-sells bank products and services by looking for sales opportunities while assisting customers and non-customers.

A Teller II is able to perform all essential functions written in the Teller job description. At this level the Teller has full knowledge of banking regulations and internal control procedures. They possess the ability and confidence to make service decisions regarding customers that are beyond the normal every-day operations of a Teller.

Essential Duties:

• Regularly is responsible for vault teller transactions which include areas such as: buying and selling cash, ordering cash from Federal Reserve, preparing currency/coin for shipment, balancing the vault/ATM
• Provides exceptional customer service to current and potential customers, processes customer transactions accurately and efficiently and responds to customer inquiries in an efficient, timely and courteous manner.
• Maintains established cash drawer limits and meets balancing standards.
• Has knowledge of bank products and services and is able to educate customers on basic checking and savings accounts.
• Actively looks for opportunities to cross sell products and services including making referrals to meet customer’s needs.
• Observes security procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 1 - 2 years Teller experience preferred.
• Vault Teller and New Account experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and knowledge of banking.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
