Human Resource Generalist

Summary:

The Bank of Elk River currently has a full time opening for a Human Resource Generalist and is seeking an experienced professional to fill this position. This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources in managing a wide range of activities including: staffing, compensation, payroll, benefits and employee relations. Under the direction of the Director of Human Resource, this position directly supervises and delegates work to the HR Admin staff.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the benefit and payroll functions of the HR department and delegates administrative tasks/projects to the HR Admin staff.
  • Recruits, interviews and helps with selection of employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
  • Assists with the overall compensation program and conducts wage surveys.
  • Acts as a liaison for the Retail Branch Managers.
  • Supports and assists the Director of Human Resources in the development and implementation of bank training programs.
  • Addresses employee relation issues as necessary or requested by the Director of Human Resources.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of HR experience and/or equivalent education/certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Four year college degree preferred
