Commercial Administrative Assistant

Summary:

The Bank of Elk River currently has a full time opening for a Commercial Administrative Assistant our Main Street Office.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for many of the operational duties of the Commercial Lending department. Provides support to the Commercial Lenders by servicing new and existing commercial loans. Support begins during the underwriting stage and proceeds through document preparation, closing, booking and tracking of the loan. Works with lenders to resolve loan documentation issues and find ways to continuously improve loan operations, customer service, procedures and performance. Provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Assists external customers with advances, transfers, loan balances, etc.
  • Supports lenders with all aspects of the commercial loan process: gathers data, orders required services (title insurance, appraisals, searches, certifications), prepares loan closing documents, uploads completed loans, enters financial ticklers into system, follows up on exceptions and ensures updated documents are received in a timely manner.
  • Assists lender with maturing loans, processes construction draws and maintain files during construction phase.
  • Compiles loan information/reports to assist lenders, bank examiners, and credit department as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge and understanding of the bank's loan policy. Ensures loans, processes and procedures meet bank standards and regulatory requirements.
  • May provides back up to other departments.
  • Observes security procedures.


Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years related experience
  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from 2 year college or technical school preferred
  • Experience preparing loan closing documents is a plus
