Consumer Banker

Summary:

The Bank of Elk River currently has a full time opening for a Consumer Banker at our Main Street Office.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to new and existing customers by identifying and recommending products and services to meet customer’s financial needs. Builds account relationships by actively searching for opportunities to cross-sell bank’s products and services and makes referrals to other areas of the bank.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provides exceptional customer service to new and existing customers by identifying and recommending products or services to fulfill their needs.
  • Responsible for opening and servicing all retail and business deposit accounts, offering consumer loan solutions and responding to customer inquiries.
  • Understands and adheres to all operational, compliance and audit procedures. Complies with laws and compliance regulations to ensure customer and bank are protected.
  • Responsible for establishing new relationships with customers by proactively cross-selling bank’s products and services. Uses current marketing campaigns or sales promotions as a tool to increase customer base.
  • Participates in sales campaigns, special projects and assignments as needed. Provides back up to other retail areas of bank.
  • Observes security procedures.


Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of Banker experience including opening new accounts
  • Fully versed in all aspects of Personal and Business Accounts, IRA’s, HSA’s, etc.
  • Proven commitment to quality customer service.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all retail products and services.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, selling, cross selling and referral skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Information Technology Specialist (Help Desk Specialist II)

Summary:

The Bank of Elk River currently has a full time opening for an Information Technology Specialist (Help Desk Specialist II) and is seeking an experienced professional to fill this position.

This position is responsible for providing technical support to staff by promptly and professionally responding to inquiries and requests for assistance with bank’s computers, applications and related technology. Able to identify, analyze and resolve more complex software and hardware issues quickly and efficiently. This position is responsible for the set up and maintenance of all workstations and performs software and application installation/upgrades. This position will require approximately 4 hours of weekend work about once a month.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provides technical support to end-users by promptly responding to help desk requests/inquires. Escalates problems as required to Marco support teams.
  • Provides training to new users and groups as needed.
  • Assesses functional needs of users, researches software products and makes recommendation to Director of Information Security and Technology for hardware/software purchases.
  • Performs and/or oversees software and application installation and upgrades.
  • Stays abreast of the latest developments in the technology and banking industries.
  • Evaluates and determines computer equipment that needs replacement. Ensures that equipment is stripped of confidential information and properly disposed of.
  • May be required to support and backup the Help Desk Specialist responsibilities which include but are not limited to: the administration of users, maintenance of programs/configuration, and updating/maintaining documentation and procedures.
  • Observes security procedures.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a 4 year college or university preferred and/or 3-5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Assistant Branch Manager

Summary:

The Bank of Elk River currently has a full time Assistant Branch Manager opening at our office in Zimmerman and is seeking an experienced professional to fill this position.

This position is responsible for assisting the Retail Branch Manager perform daily operations of the bank. Accurately processes financial transactions and regularly opens new accounts. This position assists in providing effective training on all aspects of teller duties to ensure minimal errors, accurate balancing and compliance with applicable regulations. Resolves conflicts and effectively problem solves. Coordinates department workflow and schedules tellers for optimum productivity and customer service.


Job Location:

Zimmerman Branch

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assists manager in various areas: training new hires, coaching tellers, scheduling and verifying ADP. Works with manager to help achieve branch goals. Displays an understanding of bank profitability.
  • Provides assistance with balancing vault, ordering cash from the Federal Reserve, preparing currency/coin for shipment, counting coin and servicing ATM, monitors balancing of cash drawers and may complete quarterly audits of cash drawers.
  • Is responsible for opening/closing the branch some shifts.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to current and potential customers, processes customer transactions accurately and efficiently and responds to customer inquiries in an efficient, timely and courteous manner.
  • Has knowledge of bank products and services and is able to educate customers on basic checking and savings accounts.
  • Actively looks for opportunities to cross sell products and services including making referrals to meet customer’s needs
  • Regularly opens new accounts which include: checking, savings, business and CD/IRAs.
  • Observes security procedures


Qualifications:
  • Previous supervisor experience required.
  • Lending experience preferred
  • Proven leadership, collaboration, organization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.

Commercial Lender

Summary:

The Bank of Elk River is seeking an experienced and energetic Commercial Lender to add to our lending staff. We provide a professional yet fun environment that recognizes and rewards you for your results.

This position is responsible for developing and managing a quality commercial loan portfolio. Provide exceptional customer service while managing all aspects of the borrowing relationship. Identify opportunities to broaden customer relationships and actively cross-sell the bank’s retail products and services to generate additional revenue. This position requires a strong knowledge of business cash cycles, cash flow analysis, real estate financing and financial statements.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Possess a solid understanding of various types of business borrowers. Fully understand business cash cycles, debt service and cash flow. Possess the knowledge and skills to review and underwrite complex commercial loan requests.
  • Possess the drive and ability to successfully market the bank and develop new business leads and quality loan business.
  • Understands SBA products and programs.
  • Actively calls on existing customers and potential customers to generate new loans to support bank loan growth, yield and portfolio objectives.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Commercial Lending experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
